First off, I work in a sawmill, and no the adaptation between something built for the hobbyist and one thing constructed for production. This saw is constructed for manufacturing, the item is a tank, with an enormous throat for re-sawing capabilities. I was in search of a saw around 17" or so, so I could re-saw lumber extra proficiently, but this saw has in my judgment higher re-saw capability's than the 17" noticeds I was looking at. and but stays compact enough that doing the extra intricate task do not feel overkill as could be with the better saws.
I suppose if one is taking a seem at any 14" band noticeds, whether or not it's, Delta, Powermatic, General, so on, this is the ONLY noticed I would counsel as the perfect 14" for throughout band noticed work.
I would have given it 5 famous persons but as I actually have read other feed back I'm a little bit frightened about costumer service. And seeing how I unpacked the Band-saw while also unpacking a brand new industrial 5hp sawstop desk saw on the similar time, possibly unfair to the Laguna boys. The Sawstop packaging was once the BEST I've seen by ANY maker, EVER!, and it made the Laguna appear slightly shabby?

You in reality get what you pay for in this noticed. It is so easy to set up and get going with it. I used to be in a position to set it up on not up to 30 minutes and began resawing some timber simply to apply a chunk.
