One a Shopsmith and some other a 14" Delta. Still have all of them. So, I needed a resaw bandsaw and acquired the jet. No problems excluding one. I think that the maker of tools should be made to make use of them for every week, or two. They should also be forced to change the blades over and over. The drawback is it's nearly imposible to losen and tighten the again bottom screw to regulate the bearings. When I first obtained it I had to take the desk off to align the blade. The easy sloution is to drill a small 1/4" hole on the table high instantly over the screw. Then with a long hex wrench which you can easly get to the screw.

when I bought my blue Jet "14" bandsaw and determined to move up
in dimension to one of the most new "18" noticed's, Jet used to be the very first factor
that got here to my mind. I read a few overviews of the present
Jet "18" noticed with "10" resaw capability, at the similar time I
realized that Jet had come out with an improve to this saw
to restoration alot of the complaints with the common "18" noticed.
With the "18X" they brought "12" of resaw height and beefed
up the trunions beneath the table and added extra HP. After
I acquired the "18X" home I found there was once so many dangerous factors
to this noticed that I took it again to woodcraft and swapped
it for a Delta "18" and did not love it either and took
it again also. Now I am having a bathroom toiletk again!
Pros:
1. 1 three/4 hp motor
2. "12" resaw
3. Ball bearing guides
Cons:
1. Build quality sucks...trunion mounting plate that used to be welded
to border was bent severly
2. Top of noticed felt weak (thin gauge metal)
3. Table was nowhere near flat
4. I might no longer get table sq. to blade even after "1/4" of
shims under the desk

- price - just proper
- build - built solidly
- motor can power via thick oak.
Some no longer so good factors
- Adjusting the blade guides is a complete ache - to maneuver the lower informations requies tipping the desk up and jamming your hand underneath to loosen the hex bolts.
- Raising the cutting top, even 2-3 ", causes you to need to readjust the entire informations.
- Tightening the informations changes their atmospheres - wish to wager to get it right.
